Q: What type of Arabic courses does SINARC offer?
A: SINARC offers both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Lebanese dialect.

Q: I am a native speaker of Arabic but need to work on my grammar. In which courses am I eligible to enroll?
A: You will need to enroll in the Modern Standard Arabic program. The program runs six different levels ranging in difficulty from the elementary to the advanced level. A placement test will be administered for designating the specific level of each student.
Q: How can I make sure that I receive academic credit for my university?
A: Upon successfully completing the program, you will receive an official LAU transcript. The courses are transferable to most universities across the globe as LAU is accredited by the New England Commission for Higher Education (NECHE).
Q: What is the grading scale and how do I receive my grades?
A: Grades are given in the form of letter grades (A, B, C, etc.). They are sent out in the form of an official transcript.
Q: Am I eligible to apply for this program if I have never studied Arabic before?
A: Yes, the program starts with the “alef be” letters.
Q: How big are the classes? Do students get individual attention?
A: Classes run up to 12 or 15 students max in capacity. A lot of individual attention is provided. You can also work with a student mentor in the SINARC center in order to practice your dialect dialogues.
Q: Can I be majoring in another discipline and still enroll in this program?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: Can graduate students be admitted in the program?
A: Yes.

A: Online application through the website.
Q: How do I know in which level I am? Is there an assessment test?
A: All students are required to sit for the placement test upon arrival to the program on the first day.
